Hi everyone, and welcome back to Sam To Somewhere. I’m trying to get better about adding a short introduction to every post. I hope you’re all doing well and enjoying your day.
This post seems a little useless at the moment since I’m only using makeup that accentuates the upper half of my face (#MaskLife). However, these are a few products I find myself grabbing every morning.
Also, I’m working on making my photos more ~aesthetically pleasing~ so enjoy my succulent that I usually keep in my bathroom.
1. Giorgio Armani neo nude natural glow foundation
I put this product on my face for the first time today and I already think it’s the best foundation I’ve ever used. As I started tapping the foundation into my skin with my beauty blender, it matched my skin tone perfectly. I’ve been wearing the foundation for several hours now and I don’t notice the product oxidizing in any way. Unfortunately, I only have a sample from Sephora, but I can absolutely see myself purchasing this foundation in the near future. I’m afraid to see the price.
2. Milk Makeup HYDRO Grip Primer
I’ve had this primer for close to a year and rarely apply makeup without it. The product almost resembles aloe vera, which could explain why it leaves my skin feeling hydrated and plump. I will say there’s also a natural “dewy” effect that comes with using this product, so definitely be aware of that if you’re looking to buy this primer. Milk Makeup is a phenomenal brand, so I’m glad that I get to continue to support their company by using their primer!
3. Glossier Brow Flick
If your a member of the itty-bitty-brow-committee, this product works wonders. I’ve never had bushy, full eyebrows, so I’ve been going through various brow products since I was 13 or 14. Roughly six months ago, I stumbled upon Glossier and immediately purchased their Boy Brow pomade and this flick stick. I fell in love with their pomade (I actually just ran out, so that’s why it’s not included in this post) and also really enjoy the flick stick. I usually first go in with the boy brow and then use the stick to fill in any gaps. Both products give me that “feathered” brow look and allow me to live out my full brow fantasy. I cannot recommend this product enough!
4. Dior Diorshow Lash Primer
I first got this product as a Sephora sample and almost instantly saw a difference in how my mascara looked with this primer. There’s really nothing to say other than it makes your eyelashes look longer and fuller. I’ve also noticed that my mascara is easier to remove if I’ve used this primer. Not a must, but something I’ll probably continue to use every day.
5. BECCA Après Ski Glow Face Palette
This palette is a contender for “Best Marshalls Find Of All Time”. The highlighters (pink, gold, and white) are seriously blinking, and the blush/bronzer duo compliment each other so well. Whether I’m looking to add a pop of color to my cheeks, or I want a brown smokey eye, this palette is incredibly versatile and has become a staple piece in my makeup collection. Be on the lookout for this product at a Marshalls/TJMaxx near you!
6. Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray
To seal the deal, I always apply this setting spray. Lord does this glue your makeup to your face. This product holds everything in place, from blush to lipstick, for the entire day. There’s really nothing else to say. I know this is a staple in most people’s makeup routine, and I can see why.
